This project focuses on creating an AI-powered waste management solution to automate recycling sorting. Using a Raspberry Pi 5 and the YOLOv11 object detection model, the "EcoBin" identifies plastic water bottles in real-time. When a bottle is detected, a servo-motor (SG90) automatically opens the bin lid to accept the item. This project demonstrates how Computer Vision and Physical Computing can be integrated to promote circular economy practices and environmental sustainability in a school or office environment.
