EcoHive is a smart beehive monitoring and protection system designed using Raspberry Pi. The system monitors key environmental parameters inside and around a beehive, including temperature, humidity, rain detection, and sound activity. These parameters help evaluate the health and safety conditions of the bee colony.
The system continuously prints all sensor values to the console for monitoring and diagnostics. An OLED display shows the overall system state. When the hive conditions are safe, the OLED displays 'SAFE'. When abnormal conditions occur, such as high temperature, high humidity, rain detection, or unusual sound activity, the OLED shows the specific parameters that triggered the warning.
A servo motor controls a small ventilation flap or protective cover for the hive. When environmental conditions require ventilation, the servo opens the flap. When rain is detected, the flap closes to protect the hive.
