Capacity training for VET teachers

The project focuses on creating AI KIT for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision for Environmental Solutions in VET Education. Activities includes on-site training and a Massive Open Online Course and fostering a Community of Practice.

AI@ProjectHub

The hub serves as a centralized platform to access information, resources, and tools related to AI and environmental solutions. It will also feature a set of pedagogical projects for VET teachers to integrate AI into their teaching approaches.

Network of AI VET Clubs

These clubs will provide a safe space for VET teachers/trainers and students to share their experiences, challenges and successes in developing sustainable solutions using artificial intelligence technologies.
 

THE PROJECT

AI is the most important force for change in modern society, but it remains normal for students who are completing compulsory education to know nothing about how it works, about the opportunities it creates and about the care they should take when using it. In a Europe that fights for the promotion of digital, the approach to AI in education is as urgent as necessary.

It is with this concern in mind that the main motivation for this project arises, to create a complete system that allows VET Teachers to be trained, and VET Students to be engaged in AI projects focused on solving sustainability challenges, by providing a set of tools, strategies and approaches.

This system will comprehend an AI KIT (microprocessor, cameras, sensors and actuators), the creation of MooC to capacity teachers - AI-SAVES: Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Automated Vision for Environmental Solutions, the creation of a resource Hub (AI-SAVES@ProjectHub) that allow sharing pedagogical projects to the VET community, and the creation of a network of #AI-SAVES VET clubs in the schools involved to spread the knowledge and allow further developments.
